Hallelujah

This song/video touched my heart in a way that I cannot describe. I guess in a way it touched my heart because it is honestly my heart. We are precious in our fathers eyes. JAMES 1:27 Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. Even if one does not believe in the bible is it not right in all moral standards that we look after those in need? Think about it and pray that God himself reveals to you one way to help someone in need. That should be our daily prayer. “Lord today help me help someone in need, that you may be glorified.”

This song is called Hallelujah by JohnnySwim. All proceeds from this song goes strictly to mission trips specifically for orphans. We all have a role to play on this earth. Let’s play our part. Have a blessed week.

The New Newsboys

God’s not dead, he’s surely alive, he’s living on the inside, roaring like a lion.  Newsboys never fail to impress with their music, music videos and messages in every song. Newsboys is still newsboys even with the new lead singer. Heard this song for the first time while looking for another song for the blog and decided to put this one up instead.

The world may act like God is dead, they may act like he is a myth, but we certainly know that their need to constantly prove that he does not exist only means that he does exist. GOD’S NOT DEAD! HE IS SURELY ALIVE! In everything we say, do, or think, we must know that we will one day account to somebody superior. So yeah the president may make statements that supports something that completely goes against the law of nature not to even mention the word of God, and millions may back him up but one thing I know is that GOD IS NOT DEAD! He is roaring on the inside and is compelling us as believers to be bold and stand up for what is right. Stand up for what is in the scriptures. If people can stand up boldly for what they call right then we must stand up for what we KNOW is right. Have a blessed Sunday and leave a comment!

Imagine with me, a young boy who was small and gentle, who played his harp with his heart for one audience. This boy would become a great king but before he became a king he played for a king and to the King of kings. His name was David. When he played his harp, it brought peace to those who heard it. David sang for the Lord. He played music for the Lord. He danced for the Lord. Psalms after Psalms, lyrics and melodies flowed out of his heart of worship.. he would be known to be the man after God’s own heart. Can you image young David dancing for the Lord? I wonder what kind of moves he had back then and if the Lord was pleased to smile or even laugh in joy at David’s worship to Him.

Now imagine a young lady with the likeness of David’s taste in music in praising the King. Maybe we could call her Davidelle? No, her name is Ellie Holcomb and she lives in 21st century America. She has taken the lyrics of David’s psalms and has added simple yet deep melodious sounds to the verses which has become lyrics. Instead of a harp, the smooth sound of the guitar accompanies her through each song of worship. Each song can be used to meditate and renew your thoughts in the Lord. Welcome back folks! Today’s group is starting to slowly become a favorite. Found these guys a while back but wasn’t really feeling them till I listened to their whole album in a friends car. These guys are AMAZING! A breath of fresh air if you ask me. This is what today’s christian youth should be listening to. When I hear Royal Tailor all I can think about is Adam Levine and Maroon 5. A lot of people love Maroon five. I also here some Chris Brown every now and then in some of his runs. This religious Rock Band consists of four young guys.  These are young guys that are sold out and living for Christ. I am sure they can easily make it in the secular industry but they’ve chosen otherwise. This album (Black & White) is amazing. Can’t stop listening to it. Shout out to the friend who gave it to me. I really love Royal Tailor now.

Hello People! It’s been while. Anyways let’s get right to it. Today’s showcase is different. You may or may not like it. THIS IS THE FIRST INTERNATIONAL ARTIST ON MY PAGE! Anyways it’s an alternative for all my Reggae lovers out there. This is reggae with a purpose, with a message. Over the years  I have found so many legit Gospel reggae artists out there. Trust me reggae is not all Sean Paul and the likes. There’s the good and the bad of everything. This however is the good.

Dj Nicholas is one of the  many amazing gospel reggae artists out there. This guys testimony is crazy, he came out of some hard core Rastafarian beliefs and started following Christ after a serious encounter with Christ in his dream.  The video of his testimony is on youtube so you can find it at your convenience. Dj Nicolas has got to be one of my favorite Gospel Reggae artists. This guy tells the truth in his music without sugar coating it. He is also a comedian….the truth makes so much sense in his music that it just makes you laugh. He is a story teller, an image painter, an amazing poet and an evangelist. His stuff amuses me. Just start listening to him and you’ll see what I am talking about.

I laughed so hard when i first heard this “CUT IT OFF.” We can all relate to this. It is so true. Sometimes all we need to do is cut off those things that distract us in life.

Introducing Freddy Washington Jr

It’s been a long time coming but his introduction is finally here. So the question is how did I find out about this artist? Well here is the story. I was at home one day, minding my business. I get a phone call from a friend (not mentioning names) and she is like “Glory I just saw/met the perfect guy for you.” “He worships just like you, he is the male version of you.” I couldn’t help but laugh…you would have too if you know the friend I am talking about. My friend had just gotten back from the Misfits concert where Freddy Washington was in the line up of artists that performed. Funny thing is she says, “I saw him after the concert and told him the same thing.” Too funny! Anyways I googled him, you-tubed him, followed him on twitter @FredWah and tweeted at him and he replied instantly. Hmmm… Cool guy I guess.

Well people that’s the story. This guy is a true man of God. His music is inspirational. You can’t really place him in one category/type of gospel artist. He is a mix of pop, jazz, and a little bit of  country. In other words he is AMAZING! He released his first album last year. Here is a video of him introducing himself.
